Delete your Lingua Doctor account

You can do this here, from the web. You do not need the app installed, and you do not need to be signed in.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

your account — email address, name and sign-in credentials;
all of your learning data — answers, scores, mistakes, mastery evidence, review schedule, placement and exam results;
your conversation and tutor transcripts;
your saved preferences and device sessions.

This cannot be undone. There is no recovery period, and support cannot restore a deleted account.

What is not deleted, and why

Your subscription. Subscriptions are held by Apple or Google, not by us. Deleting your account here does not cancel one — cancel it in the App Store or Google Play, or you will keep being charged.
Records the app stores must keep. Billing data follows their retention rules, which we do not control.
Generated audio. Synthesised speech is cached per sentence, not per person, contains nothing about you, and expires on its own.

How to delete it

Enter the email address on the account below.
We email a confirmation link to that address. Nothing is deleted at this point.
Open the link within 30 minutes. The account and its data are deleted immediately.

The confirmation step means only someone who can read the account’s email can delete it. If you receive one of these emails and did not ask for it, ignore it — nothing has been deleted and nothing will be.

You can also delete it in the app

Open Lingua Doctor, go to Account, and choose to delete your account. That path deletes immediately, because you are already signed in.
